New toy

Today we opened up a new toy to combat boredom.
I tried explaining the concept, you know, sliding the colorful rings onto the yellow pole, but Anders had his own version in mind already. It's called "stick the rings on your toes".

Trying to get stuff done...

I'm pretty sure he is way to big for this sling, but he thought it was pretty funny for a few minutes anyway :)

4 months old

My oh my how time flies. This kid is just getting so big. This past month has brought giggles, and squeals. Anders loves to laugh, and has the most adorable little snort to go along with his giggle. He also has discovered his voice, and spends most of his play time squealing at his toys or his parents. I can always tell when he is ready for bed though, because the more tired he is, the louder his squeals get. It's pretty cute. We finally switched him into 3-6 month clothes a few weeks ago, and he is already too big for some of them :/. I guess I need to pay more attention to the weights rather than the sizes... He has his 4 month check up next week. I'm guessing he is around 16 pounds.
I'm finally ready a book on sleep training, because Anders came into this world wanting to eat every 2 hours (ish) and hasn't really grown out of it. I thought as babies got older they would just naturally go longer between feedings, and they would just naturally start sleeping longer at night. Well, he did sleep longer at night for about a week... And then he went back to the up every two hours thing. And the past 2 weeks he has been up almost every hour. Thank goodness I have nothing else going on in my life! I would not be able to function.
I am bound and determined to teach Anders French, even though I am the worst at speaking it in the house. So, lately I have been searching for French kid shows on YouTube, and letting him sit and watch them while I eat lunch, or shower. Also, I found a YouTube channel of little kid French songs. It perfect, because it actually has all the words written out, karaoke style, so I am learning the songs too. We usually listen to a bunch of those every day. I'm super excited about those, because music is such a good way to remember things. It's helpful for me and him :)
