Pony rides 2

Pony rides

Anders went on his first pony ride last night, and he LOVED it. He could hardly contain himself while we were waiting our turn. He kept pointing at the horses and shouting "DEE" (his version of neigh). Everyone thought he was just so adorable.

A few things before I forget

I just walked into the office and found Anders sitting in the office chair, with my phone in hand, staring at the computer.  How on earth is he big enough to climb up into that chair by himself!?  And why does he have to look so bug sitting there playing on my phone.  Made me think that I better make write down a few of my favorite things that he is doing in this moment so that we don't forget about them as he is changing so quickly.  Anders LOVES books.  We look through books all day long.  He doesn't have much of an attention span for listening to me read, but his favorite thing is to find the things in the pictures that I ask him to find.  (ex. where is the bird?  and he searches for it, and say "der" when he finds it).  He loves animals. especially elephants (what is it about elephants?) and dogs.  He can say "dog" and "duck" and makes sounds for snakes (ssssss) horses (DEEEEE) cows (boo) sheep (AAAAA) Dinosaurs/lions/tigers/bears/almost everything else (grrrrrr).  We took him to the little zoo/safari park the other day, it's about 30 ,minutes from us, and he loved it so much. It was too much fun watching him get all excited and shouting animal noises at the top of his lungs.
Anders has become very opinionated about everything. What shows he watches (his favorites include curious George or "jzosh" as he likes to put it, trotro or "grrrrr" -i have yet to figure out the connection between the show and the growling noise- and Mickey Mouse clubhouse.  He is very good at telling you which one he wants when you give him the options.  If I ask "do you want to watch Mickey?" And what he really wants is George, he will shake his head vigorously from left to right, accompanied by an enthusiastic "uh uh!".  If I ask "do you want to watch George" and he does, he answers with one really big and exaggerated head nod, accompanied by an equally exaggerated and enthusiastic " uh HUH!"   Too cute.
Anders also knows, and can point to a bunch of body parts.  Hair, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, ears, cheeks, belly button, knees, toes, fingers, and bAby brother :) half the time when you ask him where his baby brother is he points at my belly, and the other half of the time he points to his belly :). Love him.
So fun to see him grow and learn.  He amazes me every day.
