4 weeks

I cannot believe how fast time flies by.  Makes me a little sad.  Anders has changed so much in the past 4 weeks. I mean, he isn't walking or anything, but as much as a baby can change, he has!  This kid is packing on the pounds like its his job!  I mean, he doesn't really have too many rolls or anything, but the kid is solid.  I am afraid my weak little arm muscles aren't going to be able to keep up with him much longer.
He is starting to do a little better at sleeping in his bed :)  For the first few weeks this kid wouldn't sleep unless he was snuggled up to someone.  Pretty adorable if you ask me.  But now, on most nights he spends about half the night in his bed :)  The rest of the time is split between his swing and sleeping on me.  At his 2 week appointment (when he was 2 1/2 weeks old) he was topping the charts on height and head size.  He was in the 70th percentile for weight at 9.5 lbs.  I can tell he has gotten heavier since then.  I weighed myself at grandma's the other day and then re-weighed myself holding him.  According to that he weighs 11.5 lbs. It obviously isn't super accurate, though I wouldn't be surprised if he did weigh that much.
Anders is all boy.  He is hairy like a boy, he smells like a boy, and he gets all sweaty like a boy.  Initially I was dressing him completely and then making sure that he had a blanket on him at all times, because thats how I hang out around the house; socks, sweats sweatshirt, and blanket on me at all times.  Well I stopped doing that, because the poor little guy kept getting a little sweat-stache and sweaty head. Now I just keep him in a onsie. No socks, no pants, and he is good. Sometimes a light blanket to keep his hands from whacking him in the face when he tries to sleep.
Anders used to scream when we changed his diaper, but now the changing station is his favorite little hangout.  He loves to just lay there and look around.  I don't understand why it is so different from sitting in his swing and looking around, but he can tell the difference.  He also loves to be in bed with us.  He usually starts out the night falling asleep next to Clay, and then he gets moved to his bed., but when clay leaves in the morning Anders takes over his spot in bed, and we both pass out for about three hours.  Its kind of weird, because when he is in his bed he is the LOUDEST sleeper.  He is constantly grunting and clearing his throat and making little puppydog whimpering noises, but when he sleeps in bed with me he makes NO noise.  He just zonks out.  He doesn't move, and doesn't whimper, and he doesn't feel the need to make any other weird noises.
We just love everything about this boy.  Everything from his cute little dimples to his receding hair line.

  1. What a sweet guy! That's so funny about him just needing to be in a onesie. : ) Sounds like he needs to give his cousin Mason a few tips in the weight gain department. He went in this week @ 3 months and is only at 9lbs 4oz.
So sweet how he loves to snuggle with you. Wish we could snuggle him too. : )

  2. Can't wait to see him again this weekend. Everyday is an adventure with these little ones. They grow and change so much so fast.
