3 months old

Time just keeps flying by.  This little nugget is 3 months old today.  In the past month Anders has started blowing bubbles, spitting, sleeping 5 (ish) hours at night (just the first stretch though.  He gets up about every 2 hours after that) and best of all, GIGGLING!!!  I love it when he laughs.  Its the best thing ever.  Normally he saves his laughs for when I tickle him.  He is especially ticklish in his left armpit :)  On the occasion I can get him to laugh when I tickle his feet, though most of the time it just makes him mad.  Every once in a while though, he will let out a little giggle when he is excited about something.  That kind is my favorite.  He doesn't really like to snuggle as much, but he does still enjoy falling asleep in bed with us.  I usually move him after he falls asleep, because lets be honest, no one gets a good night rest when there is a baby in the bed.  Last night he seemed pretty tired, and Clay and I were watching a show, so i put him in his swing, thinking it would help him fall asleep.  He yelled until I came and got him, and then he just sat there as content as could be watching Grease 2 with Clay and I until he fell asleep.  (In case you haven't seen it, its REAL dumb.  But don't tell Clay I said that, because he is pretty sure he wants to be a Cool Rider when he grows up).  Anders still screams every time we put him in the car.  I just don't get it.  He is fine in his car seat.  He just HATES the car.  He screams and screams untill he falls asleep, or until we get where we are going and then take him out of the car.  I'm hoping he learns to like to car before too long, because we sure don't like hearing him be so sad every time we leave the house.  But, car tantrums and all, we sure do love this babe :)

  2. Naomi hated the car for at least a year. Cried every time we went anywhere, and didn't stop until we got out. the hour drive between our house and your parents' was always fun :) Jimmer may have hated it too, but he cried when he wasn't in the car too, so it's hard to tell ;) I bet once he gets turned around he'll get better (I'm not encouraging you to do that anytime soon though!! it's recommended to wait until 2 years old to turn them around now....). Best of luck. maybe you can come up with some snacks or toys that will keep him entertained?
