2weeks

We went to Ezra's 2 week check up yesterday.  Just like Anders, he weighed exactly 9 1/2 pounds.  We make fat little babies :). The Dr said he is practically perfect in every way.  And I must say that we quite agree.  It has been so fun to see Anders with Ezra. He loves to give him kisses, and to share his toys.  Every time Anders hears Ezra make a noise, or if he sees him after not seeing him for a little while he just squeals "baby!!!" and runs to him.

Anders has really started talking a lot lately.  It is soo fun to hear him try new words.  One of his favorite things to do is to count objects.  I can't help but grin when I hear his little " do (2) fibe (5) dree (3)".  I have a couple of apps on my iPad that teach numbers and letters.  It's crazy how much kids pick up on.  Anders was laying in the floor the other day while changed his diaper.  He very clearly spelled "B-O-Y". I looked where he was looking realized that he was reading a balloon that clays parents sent when Ezra was born.  It said "baby boy" on it, and my baby boy was reading it!!! Ok ok. Not reading it, but spelling it.   He saw the word "first" written on his block container and was able to spell that one no problem as well.  He is constantly pointing out letters and numbers and objects everywhere we go.  Such a little smarty pants. He doesn't really talk In sentences other than "iwannawatchamovie" and "babycrying".  He still (consistently for about a year now) smacks his lips in reference to food.  I will be so sad when he actually starts saying the words "food/eat/hungry/dinner etc..." I will miss the little signs and noises he uses to communicate.  But for now it is fun every day to hear him learn and grow.

This belongs on a previous post, but I thought should record it anyway.  It's so cute watching Anders play.  He has such an imagination.  He always finds different objects and names them "mommy daddy baby". I used to ask him where his baby brother was, and would without fail point to the block or stick or crayon that was labeled "mommy".  He understood that The baby was in mommy's belly.  Now instead of saying "mommy daddy baby" he said his own name.  "Nanners". And baby brother is no longer in mommy's belly.
